Types of Fabrics Finished
Curtains
Any composition or blends, typical finishes include wash and tenter, desize and tenter, wet and tenter or wash and resin.
Upholstery
Any composition or blends, typical finishes include wash and tenter, FR backcoat, stain resist, decatize, anti pill and tumble.
Sheeting
Polyester/cotton or 100% cotton.Normally a crease resist resin finish with softener is applied on this material.
Shirting
Polyester/cotton, 1oo% cotton, or cotton/wool blends. A crease resist resin finish with softener, and an optional calendar is the normal finish for this material.
Uniforms
Any composition or blend. A petrol repellant flurochemical is often applied to this type of material.
Matress Fabric
100% cotton, 100% polyester, or polyester cotton blends. A non durable flame retardant, together with a non durable anti microbial is the typical route for this type of cloth.
Dress Fabric
Usually polyester or polyester nylon, a cylinder shrink finish is often used for this type of material.
Raincoats
100% Cotton. A high concentration flurochemical gives the desired shower resistant finish.
Interlinings
Any composition or blend. Typical finishes include autoclave, a high pressure steaming machine, and stiffener, for woollen cloths, resin and decatize for cottons, and stiffener for polyester tie interlinings.
Matting
Any composition. Typical finish would involve latex coating.
Deck Chair Cloths
Usually cottons. A P.V.A. stiffener is normally given to this type of fabric.
